RIGID CATENARY AERIUM 110-2

AERIUM 110-2 is the rigid catenary designed by RAILSHINE, which benefits from analysis and optimizations, fruit of long experience in electrification.

The RAILSHINE rigid overhead catenary AERIUM 110-2 is a system with aluminum profile designed to improve reliability, safety, assembly, maintenance and total life cost in railway electrification. This rigid overhead contact line solution can be implemented in reduced space where conventional catenary cannot be installed, like tunnels, metropolitan and urban areas, maintenance depots, freight terminals, etc. This renewed catenary is very compact and free itself from heavy equipment like tensioners, wire stay ropes and brackets, and is easier to install.

AERIUM 110-2 significative advantages:

• Easier to insert contact line and moving of the mounting trolley

The running surface guides for the mounting trolley have been expanded which enables a better rolling of its wheels and avoid derailments during insertion phase or replacement of contact line.

• Cancellation of errors during splices installation

The inner part of the profile is perfectly symmetric, so that there is no specific way to mount the splices and no error can occur during positioning and installation, and ensure the good performance of the system.

• Improvement of system inertia

Profile design has been optimized to get higher rigidity of the bars which allows to have higher speed or more distance between supports.
